Palestinian sustains injury due to colonist attack south of Nablus

NABLUS, October 21, 2026 (WAFA) – A Palestinian on Wednesday evening sustained an injury due to a colonist attack in the village of Osarin, south of Nablus, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

The PRCS said its crews provided first aid treatment to a 40-year-old man who sustained a gunshot wound to the hand due to a colonist attack in the village.

Local sources reported that Israeli colonists opened live fire at olive harvesters in the village, injuring one of them.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
