HEBRON, October 19, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Monday evening detained two olive harvesters following an attack by colonists in Shaab al-Butum area of Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, according to local sources.
They told WAFA that colonists assaulted farmers from the al-Najjar family while they were picking olives in the area and attempted to prevent them from continuing the harvest.
They added that Israeli occupation forces subsequently raided the area and arrested two farmers.
Areas south of Hebron, particularly Masafer Yatta, witnessed a series of similar attacks by colonists and the occupation forces on Monday, resulting in the detention of five farmers and the theft of large quantities of olives, agricultural equipment, and money.
