SALFIT, October 19, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Monday evening attacked farmers and torched two vehicles in the Wadi al-Shaer area, east of Salfit, according to local sources.
They said that colonists assaulted olive-harvesting farmers and set two vehicles ablaze in the area.
They added that colonists also assaulted farmers as they were harvesting olives in the Wadi al-Ain area of Deir Ballut, west of Salfit.
The Wadi al-Shaer area has been subjected to repeated attacks by colonists, including physical assaults against Palestinians, property vandalism, theft of their olive harvest, chopping down and burning of trees, and the blocking of roads with stones.
Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
