HEBRON, October 19, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces demolished agricultural structures, uprooted hundreds of fruit-bearing trees, and razed areas of agricultural land in the village of Shuyukh al-Arrub, north of Hebron, on Monday.
Issa Ayad, head of the Shuyukh al-Arrub Village Council, told WAFA that Israeli occupation forces began demolishing agricultural structures—including farm rooms, a water well, and retaining walls—while also uprooting hundreds of fruit-bearing trees and destroying vegetable crops in the "Al-Quniya" area, west of the village. The land belongs to several local families.
He noted that the razing operations, which have been ongoing since this morning, have affected more than 10 dunums of land. All agricultural structures on this area were demolished, and over 300 fruit-bearing trees were uprooted; the razing continues.
Ayad expressed the residents' fear that the ongoing destruction is a prelude to the occupation seizing approximately 290 dunums of village land in that area—land that the occupation had previously declared as "state land."
"These actions are taking place despite the fact that we possess sufficient legal documentation proving that this is not 'state land' and confirming our private ownership of it," Ayad said. He added that he had personally presented these legal documents to an occupation court—as he is one of the owners of the land being razed—but to no avail.
