Colonists attack home south of Nablus, occupation forces detain its owner

NABLUS, October 18, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists attacked a home near the town of Beita, south of Nablus, on Sunday evening, while Israeli occupation forces detained its owner.

Local sources reported that the colonists cut the electricity pole supplying the home, cut down olive trees around it, smashed a vehicle, and dumped rubbish nearby.

Palestinian security sources said occupation forces detained the homeowner, Mutie Salim al-Aqtash, following the attack.

The assault came hours after colonists cut electricity to another Palestinian home belonging to Muntasir Hamayel in the al-Arma area of Beita.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Israeli occupation forces and colonists have carried out a total of 62,916 attacks against Palestinians and their land and property across the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem, since October 7, 2023. Of these, 48,174 were carried out by occupation forces and 14,742 by colonists.
