HEBRON, October 16, 2026 (WAFA) — Armed Israeli colonists attacked Palestinian homes in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, late last night under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, firing live ammunition and attempting to set several homes on fire.
Activist Mohammad Awad told WAFA that large groups of colonists attacked homes in the Wadi al-Sheikh area of the town and tried to torch several of them.
Citizens confronted the attackers, preventing the homes from being set ablaze, before the colonists withdrew toward the illegal Israeli settlement of Beit Ayin, built on Palestinian land nearby.
No injuries were reported.
