RAMALLAH, October 14, 2026 (WAFA) — Amir Dawoud, director general of the Documentation and Publishing Department at the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, said colonist attacks have become an organized colonial policy aimed at displacing Palestinians and preventing them from accessing their land.
Speaking to Voice of Palestine radio, Dawoud noted a sharp escalation in colonist attacks over the past four years, saying they had shifted from isolated incidents confined to limited geographical areas into a tool for imposing new realities on the ground, with the support and protection of the Israeli government.
He said more than 110 Bedouin communities had experienced partial or complete displacement over the past three years. He added that the Israeli military provides protection to settlers, despite Israeli statements claiming that addressing their attacks is difficult.
Dawoud further said Israeli authorities use checkpoints and military gates to restrict Palestinians’ movement and deny them access to essential services, while fragmenting Palestinian geography and advancing annexation and settlement expansion policies as part of broader plans to seize control of Palestinian land.
