SALFIT, October 11, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces prevented residents from harvesting olives this Sunday evening in the towns of Al-Zawiya and Marda—located north and west of Salfit—and detained a number of women while they were working on their agricultural lands.

Local sources reported that occupation forces detained several women in the "Al-Ain" area, south of Al-Zawiya (west of Salfit), and stopped them from continuing their olive harvest.

Separately, occupation forces, accompanied by colonists, raided the "Al-Khirba" area east of Marda (north of Salfit), checked the identity cards of residents present there, and prevented them from continuing to harvest olives.

Such attacks and measures by the occupation—which hinder farmers' access to their lands or prevent them from harvesting their crops—threaten their livelihoods and inflict significant economic losses upon them.
