JERUSALEM, October 10, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation authorities on Saturday forced a Palestinian citizen to demolish his own home in the Beit Hanina neighborhood, north of occupied Jerusalem, under the pretext of construction without an Israeli permit.

The Jerusalem Governorate reported that the authorities forced Fadel al-Rajabi to carry out the demolition himself.

Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem are frequently forced to demolish their homes themselves under the pretext of construction without Israeli-issued permits. Those who refuse face demolition by Israeli bulldozers and are often charged substantial demolition costs.

Israeli authorities restrict the issuance of building permits to Palestinians, leaving many citizens vulnerable to home demolitions or orders to demolish their own properties.
