Israeli authorities impose hefty fine to release Palestinian company's trucks in Tubas

TUBAS, October 10, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation authorities on Saturday imposed financial penalties on a Palestinian company in exchange for releasing several of its trucks that had previously been seized.

Human rights activist Aref Daraghmeh said the authorities demanded approximately 31,000 shekels (about $10,100) to release several trucks belonging to Al-Furat Agricultural Company, which had been seized while transporting a banana harvest from the Ras al-Ahmar area, southeast of Tubas.

The area has been subjected to ongoing Israeli measures for months, alongside extensive land leveling to construct a 22-kilometer-long and 50-meter-wide military road. The road begins at the Ein Shibli checkpoint southeast of Tubas and ends at the Tayasir checkpoint east of the governorate.
