JERUSALEM, October 8, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli forces assaulted the head of al-Eizariya Municipality, southeast of occupied Jerusalem, on Thursday.

The Jerusalem Governorate reported that Israeli forces raided the home of Ata Yassin Jabr, head of al-Eizariya Municipality and chairman of the al-Eizariya Youth Club, and assaulted him, prompting his transfer to a nearby medical center for medical treatment.

The governorate added that Israeli forces also smashed and extensively damaged four homes belonging to Jabr, his mother, and his two brothers, Maher and Ali.
