SALFIT, October 7, 2026 (WAFA) – Several Palestinians suffered suffocation from tear gas and pepper spray today during an attack by colonists and Israeli occupation forces on the village of Marda, north of Salfit, local sources told WAFA.
Sources said that colonists, backed by Israeli forces and police, raided the village and fired tear gas and sound bombs at Palestinian olive pickers, while also spraying pepper spray, causing several Palestinians to suffer suffocation.
According to sources, Israeli occupation forces prevented an ambulance from reaching those affected.
Israeli forces also detained three Palestinians during the attack.
Israeli forces briefly detained several other Palestinians, closed all entrances to the village, and prevented residents from harvesting their olives after damaging the contents of several Palestinian homes.
