(Update) Palestinians injured, homes and livestock shelters set ablaze in colonist attack on Ma'azi Jaba Bedouin community

JERUSALEM, October 5, 2026 (WAFA) – Several Palestinians were injured this evening after terrorist colonists attacked the Ma'azi Jaba Bedouin community near the town of Jaba, northeast of Jerusalem, setting fire to several homes and livestock shelters.

Local sources told WAFA that groups of colonists, protected by Israeli forces, attacked the community and assaulted Palestinians, including children and women, injuring several of them. Residents appealed for an ambulance to be sent to the community to transport the injured.

The sources added that the colonists smashed several vehicles during the attack and set fire to several homes and sheep shelters, causing extensive material damage to property.

They added that Israeli occupation forces, which were present around the community during the attack, provided protection to the colonists and did not intervene to stop the assault.

According to the latest reports by the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, colonists have carried out more than 14,742 attacks in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, since October 7, 2023, resulting in the killing of 66 Palestinians.
