SALFIT, October 1, 2026 (WAFA) — Two Palestinians were injured by live ammunition and several others were detained today as Israeli colonists attacked Palestinian homes in the town of Yasuf, east of Salfit, in the central West Bank.

Yasuf municipal council head Jumaa Abdel Fattah told WAFA that colonists from the Havat Anton outpost attacked homes east of the town under the protection of Israeli occupation forces. The colonists opened live fire at local citizens, injuring two Palestinians.

He added that Israeli occupation forces detained several Palestinians during the attack.

The Palestinian Red Crescent said its crews treated two people injured in the incident. One, a 50-year-old man, sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen, while the other was hit by a live-ammunition fragment in the flank.

Local sources said Israeli forces also detained an ambulance belonging to Al-Zaytouna ambulance service in Yasuf, seized its key and threw it away, disrupting the medical crews’ work and preventing them from carrying out their duties.
