NABLUS, October 1, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists attacked Palestinian farmers on Thursday morning while they were harvesting olives in the village of Odla, south of Nablus.
Local sources reported that a group of colonists attacked the farmers in the village’s plain area and prevented them from harvesting their olive crop there.
Colonist attacks on Palestinian farmers have been escalating with the start of the olive harvest season, including assaults on farmers, preventing them from reaching their land, stealing their crops, and cutting down or burning trees.
According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, colonists carried out 628 attacks in the West Bank in August, including 137 in Nablus Governorate. The governorate recorded 900 settler attacks during the first half of 2026, the highest number among all West Bank governorates during that period.
Colonist attacks, carried out with the support of the Israeli army, also resulted in the cutting down of or damage to 6,015 trees in Nablus Governorate during the first half of this year, out of 45,195 trees affected across the West Bank, including 26,395 olive trees.
