RAMALLAH, September 30, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli forces forced several families to evacuate their homes in Jenin on Wednesday and converted the houses into military posts, amid a heavy military presence and intensified movements by Israeli forces in the city and surrounding areas.

The family of local resident Kamel Mousa told WAFA that Israeli forces raided their four-story residential building in Jenin’s Old City and gave two families living there 10 minutes to evacuate before turning the building into a military barracks.

Israeli forces also converted several homes in the Marah Saad and Old City areas of Jenin into military barracks and forced their residents to leave.

The measures came amid an intensified Israeli military presence and movements inside the city, around nearby settlements, along the Jenin-Nablus road and the bypass road east of the city. Israeli forces also closed the iron gates at the entrances to villages and towns leading to the road.
