JENIN, September 20, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists have recently established a new colonial outpost on agricultural land in the town of Jaba', south of Jenin, amid repeated attacks on Palestinian farmers and restrictions on their access to their land.
Jaba' Mayor Mohammad al-Baddad told WAFA that colonists had entered the Jabal Harish area, east of the town, over the past two weeks and established the outpost, while assaulting farmers and preventing them from reaching their agricultural lands.
He said Jabal Harish is located within an area classified as Area A and is surrounded by agricultural land covering more than 8,000 dunams.
Al-Baddad expressed concern that the establishment of the new outpost could lead to further attempts to seize Palestinian land and prevent its owners from accessing and cultivating it.
He warned of the consequences of continued colonial expansion and attacks on farmers, saying the new outpost threatens agricultural lands and residents' livelihoods while imposing additional restrictions on movement and access to their property.
