Israeli colonists uproot and damage dozens of olive trees in Ni'lin

RAMALLAH, September 20, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists today uprooted and damaged dozens of olive trees in the town of Ni'lin, west of Ramallah.

Local sources told WAFA that a group of colonists raided the al-Khalal area, west of the town, and began cutting down and breaking dozens of olive trees.

The attack comes four days after colonists leveled Palestinian-owned land and opened agricultural roads west of Ni'lin. The area has recently witnessed intensified colonist activity, including land leveling and road construction.

According to the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, colonists carried out 628 attacks across the occupied West Bank in August, directly affecting 164 Palestinians, including 20 children and 17 women. The attacks also damaged 21,508 trees, including 19,375 olive trees.
