TUBAS, September 20, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces today prevented dozens of teachers from reaching their schools in the northern Jordan Valley, northeast of the occupied West Bank.

Director of Education and Higher Education in Tubas, Azmi Blawneh, said that 104 male and female teachers were unable to reach their schools this morning after Israeli forces closed the Tayasir and Ein Shibli checkpoints.

He explained that the closure disrupted the educational process at six public schools and a kindergarten serving around 1,100 students.
