BEIRUT, August 27, 2026 (WAFA) — A 28-year-old woman was killed and six others, including a child, a woman and two elderly men, were injured on Thursday in an Israeli airstrike on the town of Arabsalim in southern Lebanon, according to Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health.
The National News Agency reported that Israeli forces intensified attacks on southern Lebanon, with an airstrike targeting a house in central Arabsalim.
The strike killed Saja Mousa Sharara, 28, who had moved into the house just 48 hours earlier after her wedding. The attack completely destroyed the house and caused extensive damage to surrounding homes and commercial establishments, spreading fear and panic among residents.
The report said an earlier airstrike had targeted the same location, but the missile failed to explode. It was the first Israeli airstrike on Arabsalim since the ceasefire approximately two months ago.
Israeli aircraft also struck Nabatieh al-Fawqa, destroying a house in the Al-Thakana neighborhood.
An Israeli drone carried out another strike on Nabatieh al-Fawqa and a further strike on the industrial zone between Kafr Rumman and Nabatieh, while Israeli aircraft dropped explosive materials over Dohat Kafr Rumman and the area around Tel al-Dabsha.
