TUBAS, August 27, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces on Thursday filled in three artesian water wells and demolished livestock shelters in the Bedouin community of Khirbet al-Ras al-Ahmar, southeast of Tubas in the occupied West Bank.
Muataz Basharat, who monitors the Jordan Valley affairs in Tubas Governorate, told WAFA that Israeli forces filled in three artesian wells and destroyed their equipment. The wells belonged to Palestinian citizens Yousef Aqteishat, Mowaffaq Daraghmeh and Thaer Khizran.
The forces also damaged and destroyed approximately 300 meters of a water transmission pipeline, further disrupting access to water in the community.
Israeli forces also demolished three livestock shelters belonging to Palestinian citizen Mohammad Abu Awwad and his son. The shelters had a combined area of more than 300 square meters.
The demolitions and destruction of water infrastructure add to the longstanding pressure on Palestinian communities in the Jordan Valley, where restrictions on access to land and water, demolitions and Israeli colonist attacks have repeatedly threatened agricultural livelihoods in the region.
