BETHLEHEM, August 25, 2026 (WAFA) – Several solidarity activists today suffered suffocation and bruises after being assaulted by colonists in the Harmala area, southeast of Bethlehem, security sources reported.
Security sources told WAFA that activists from the Israeli Peace Movement opened a dirt road in Harmala that was previously blocked by colonists.
The colonists subsequently attacked the activists, severely beating them with sticks and firing tear gas canisters and spraying them with pepper spray, causing several activists to suffer suffocation, bruises, and wounds.
The activists have been opening roads blocked by colonists in solidarity with and in support of local residents.
