Israeli colonists cut power poles, damage memorial in Nablus-area villages

NABLUS, August 25, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists cut down several electricity poles in the town of Burin, south of Nablus, early Tuesday morning, in the second such attack in a week.

Local sources reported that colonists cut down several electricity poles supplying power to the Soufan family home in the town, which lies adjacent to the Yitzhar settlement.

In a related incident, Rami Nassar, head of the Madma village council, said that colonists, under the protection of Israeli army, stormed the town center, provoked residents, and then proceeded to destroy a memorial.
