JERUSALEM, August 24, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces on Monday prevented a graduation ceremony of al-Quds University and detained four at Souq al-Qattanin in occupied Jerusalem, according to the Jerusalem Governorate.
It said that the occupation forces barged their way into the Mamluk-era Caravanserai Khan Tankaz in Souq al-Qattanin, near Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, prevented a graduation ceremony of Al-Quds University and detained four attendees.
Three of the detainees were identified as Youssef al-Natsheh, director of the Center for Jerusalem Studies of Al-Quds University, Professor Raed Saadeh, head of the Jerusalem Tourism Cluster, and Hussam Abu Eisheh, a prominent actor, storyteller, and theater artist.
