JENIN, August 24, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli forces detained several Palestinians, including the son of slain Palestinian Fathi Khazem, during overnight raids on Monday across Jenin governorate.
Local sources reported that Israeli troops detained Hamam, the son of slain Palestinian Fathi Khazem, after raiding his home in Jenin’s German neighborhood.
Israeli forces carried out a military raid on the town of Jaba'a, south of Jenin, where they detained Yazan Shqaiqat after raiding and searching his home.
In a related incident, Israeli forces raided the town of Barta'a, isolated by Israel’s separation wall, southwest of Jenin, and detained several workers present there.
Israeli forces further stormed the towns of Mithlon, Arraba, and Ya'bad at dawn, deploying throughout their streets and neighborhoods, though no detentions were reported.
The occupation forces continue their raids and incursions into the Jenin governorate, coinciding with detention campaigns and the tightening of military measures against the Palestinian population.
