RAMALLAH, August 22, 2026 (WAFA) — The European Union condemned Israeli colonist terrorism in the West Bank, expressing concern over the deteriorating situation in the village of Qusra, south of Nablus, where Palestinian families have been trapped inside their homes for over a week due to colonist attacks.
In a statement issued by the European External Action Service in Brussels, the EU affirmed that the situation in the village reflects an escalation in violence committed by extremist colonists, including intimidation, harassment, property damage, and physical assault, aimed at forcing Palestinians to leave their homes.
The EU also rejected recent statements by the extremist Israeli National Security Minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, regarding the Gaza Strip, asserting that such inflammatory and offensive rhetoric does not contribute to calming the situation.
