NABLUS, August 21, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists, under the protection of Israeli forces, continued for the 13th consecutive day on Friday to besiege several Palestinian homes in the town of Qusra, south of Nablus, in an apparent attempt to seize the properties for colonial expansion in the area.
Qusra Mayor Abdul Azim Wadi said Israeli forces and colonists continued to besiege three homes in the Ras al-Ain area, preventing the families from entering or leaving. One of the homes has been taken over and turned into a military outpost, while the area has been declared a closed military zone.
Wadi said the besieged families are suffering shortages of food and some medications because Israeli forces are preventing supplies from reaching the homes.
Israeli forces on Thursday evening also destroyed belongings and furniture inside the home belonging to citizen Yousef Abdul Salam after taking it over and converting it into a military barracks.
Abdul Salam is currently staying in another besieged home after Israeli soldiers forcibly expelled him and his family from their residence, citing the declaration of the area as a “closed military zone.”
