TUBAS, August 19, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists on Wednesday forced Palestinian herders to leave their grazing lands east of Tubas, amid continued harassment targeting Palestinian herding communities in the area.
According to Mukhles Masaeed, head of the Yarza village council, colonists chased Palestinian herders and their livestock away from grazing areas near the in the Bedouin communities of Yarza and Ras Al-Ahmar, preventing residents from accessing their traditional grazing lands.
The incident comes amid escalating colonist attacks and restrictions targeting Palestinian communities in the northern Jordan Valley, where Palestinians have faced increasing pressure over access to grazing areas, water sources and agricultural land.
The Jordan Valley has witnessed intensified Israeli measures in recent months, including restrictions on Palestinian movement, damage to water and irrigation infrastructure, land seizures and the expansion of colonial outposts.
