RAMALLAH, August 16, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli forces this evening raided the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, positioned themselves in the Marj Si' area, and set up a military checkpoint at the village entrance.

Local sources reported that Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters toward Palestinian homes in the area, causing cases of suffocation, while tightening military restrictions and obstructing the movement of residents.

The sources added that Israeli forces continued to deploy in the area amid heightened tensions, with no injuries reported as of the time of publication.

Al-Mughayyir and its surrounding areas have been subjected to repeated raids and attacks by Israeli forces and settlers amid escalating military and settlement measures targeting Palestinians and their property.
