Israeli forces prevent UNICEF water tanker from reaching besieged homes in Qusra

NABLUS, August 16, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli forces today prevented the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) from delivering a water tanker to three homes under siege in the village of Qusra, south of Nablus.

Local sources reported that UNICEF went to Qusra and delivered food and medical supplies to the three besieged homes, but Israeli forces prevented the delivery of a water tanker to the residents.

Abdel Azim Wadi, head of the Qusra village council, said the council has so far been unable to restore electricity and water supplies to the three besieged homes.

Israeli forces had previously declared the Ras al-Ain area of Qusra a closed military zone and established military positions there. They also deployed additional military reinforcements to the besieged area after settlers had surrounded the homes for several days.
