RAMALLAH, August 16, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists on Sunday damaged machinery at a quarry in the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah, and grazed their sheep on Palestinian agricultural land in the area.
Local sources said colonists raided the Gharaba area north of the town, cut electrical cables from a stone-cutting machine belonging to the Khalil family from the nearby al-Sawiya village. The assailants stole an electronic control panel valued at about $20,000.
Meanwhile, colonists grazed their sheep in the Shouriya area of Sinjil, about 200 meters from the town's entrance, damaging agricultural crops, according to local sources.
Two weeks ago, colonists established a pastoral colonial outpost in the Shouriya area, from which attacks against Palestinian residents and their property have been launched, the sources said.
