RAMALLAH, August 10, 2026 (WAFA) – Colonists set fire to agricultural land in Jiljilyya village, north of Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate, according to a local official.
Osama Nazmi, head of the Jiljilyya Village Council, told WAFA that colonists set fire to agricultural land in the Al-Batin area, east of the village, adding that Civil Defense crews managed to bring the blaze under control.
Nazmi added that the land belongs to residents of the village and the towns of Sinjil and Al-Mazra'a Ash-Sharqiya.
He noted that colonists established an outpost in the area about a year ago and took over homes belonging to residents of Al-Mazra'a Ash-Sharqiya.
