NABLUS, August 10, 2026 (WAFA) - Israeli colonists on Monday besieged a Palestinian family’s house on the outskirts of Qusra, south of Nablus, for the second consecutive day, according to local sources.

They reported that colonists erected a makeshift structure in front of the house in the Jabal Ras Al-Ain area, blocking access to and from the property and preventing food supplies from being brought in. The colonists also prevented the family from leaving or receiving visitors.

During the siege, Israeli soldiers arrived at the makeshift structure, joined the intruders in prayer and took selfies with them, before leaving without removing the intruders or ending the siege.

The two-story villa belongs to a Palestinian-American of the Abu Rida family, who currently resides in the US. His brother, son, and several other members of the family are currently inside the house.

Colonists have been attempting for around four months to storm the house and seize it, prompting the homeowner’s sons to remain there around the clock in shifts to protect it.

According to the sources, colonists have repeatedly cut off the electricity to the house in recent months, pelted it with stones, and besieged it on several occasions.

According to the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, Israeli occupation forces and colonists carried out 2,256 attacks against Palestinians, their lands and property in July. Of these, occupation forces carried out 1,458 attacks, while colonists carried out 798.
