GAZA, August 9, 2026 (WAFA) — A child was injured this evening by Israeli army gunfire in the Al-Najjar neighborhood in central Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces shelled areas east of Khan Younis.

Earlier today, medical sources said that the death toll from Israel's ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip had risen to 73,386, while the number of injured reached 174,250 since October 7, 2023.

The sources said Gaza hospitals received two fatalities over the past 24 hours, one of whom succumbed to injuries sustained earlier, in addition to eight injured people.
