JENIN, August 7, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Friday night closed the main entrance to the town of Ya’bad, southwest of Jenin, using earth mounds, blocking the only road leading into the town, according to local sources.

Sources told WAFA that Israeli forces blocked Ya’bad’s main entrance with earth mounds, restricting the movement of residents and vehicles.

The forces also closed the road that serves as the town’s sole access route from the direction of Kufeirat village.

The sources added that the closure has forced residents to take alternative routes, further exacerbating their hardships, particularly for patients, students, and workers, amid the continued policy of sealing the entrances to towns and villages across Jenin governorate and restricting residents’ movement.
