16 Palestinians injured since start of Israeli raid on Qalandia refugee camp north of Jerusalem

JERUSALEM, August 6, 2026 (WAFA) — The Palestine Red Crescent Society said on Thursday that 16 Palestinians have been injured since Israeli forces launched their ongoing raid on Qalandia refugee camp and the town of Kafr Aqab, north of occupied Jerusalem.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces fired stun grenades at journalists near the entrance to Qalandia refugee camp before forcing them to leave the area in an apparent attempt to prevent media coverage of the ongoing military offensive.

Israeli forces also closed the Jerusalem road linking Kafr Aqab and Qalandia refugee camp, as well as the road leading to the camp, preventing journalists and media crews from reaching the vicinity and imposing strict restrictions on field reporting.

During the continuing raid, Israeli forces also assaulted several young men after detaining them during the incursion into Qalandia refugee camp and neighboring Kafr Aqab.
