BETHLEHEM, Thursday, August 6, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces today demolished agricultural lands in the town of Battir, west of Bethlehem, and uprooted dozens of trees.

Local resident Mohammad Abu Harithiya told WAFA that Israeli forces raided the area of “Ein Abu al-Harith” and bulldozed his two-dunum plot, in addition to another two-dunum plot belonging to his cousin Saeed.

He said the demolition operation resulted in the uprooting of around 80 olive and almond saplings.

Abu Harithiya added that, following the land destruction, Israeli forces allowed settlers to graze their sheep on the bulldozed lands and among the uprooted trees.
