NORTHERN JORDAN VALLEY, Thursday, August 6, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists fenced off additional areas of land in Hammamat al-Malih in the northern Jordan Valley on Thursday.
Mahdi Daraghmeh, head of the al-Malih village council, said colonists have continued since Wednesday to fence off more lands in Hammamat al-Malih, which are owned by the Latin Patriarchate, and prevent Palestinian citizens from accessing them.
The Patriarchate had previously condemned the colonists’ fencing of the lands in a statement to WAFA and affirmed that it was following up on the matter through legal channels.
The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission said that the total number of attacks carried out by Israeli authorities during the first half of 2026 reached 11,074. The attacks were carried out by various Israeli state bodies, including colonists' militias, against Palestinian citizens and their property.
In a statement on Israeli violations during the first half of 2026, the Commission said Israel no longer treats settlement activity merely as a means of expanding and seizing more Palestinian land, but rather as the framework through which Palestinian territory is being reshaped politically, legally, and administratively, in a manner that consolidates an annexation project and turns it into a permanent reality.
