Israel issues demolition orders for three tourist facilities east of Jenin

RAMALLAH, August 4, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli forces on Tuesday issued demolition orders for three tourist facilities in the village of Arraneh, east of Jenin, according to local officials.

Arraneh Village Council head Mahmoud Al-Saadi told WAFA that Israeli forces entered the village and delivered demolition notices for three tourism-related businesses located near the Arraneh roundabout at the village entrance.

Al-Saadi said Israeli authorities claim the facilities were built in an archaeological area and cited this as the basis for the demolition orders. He added that the businesses belong to local residents and serve as a source of income for their owners.

He said the demolition orders are part of broader measures that hinder development in the village and stated that the village council will pursue legal action in coordination with the relevant authorities.
