BETHLEHEM, Tuesday, August 4, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday bulldozed agricultural land and destroyed part of the drinking water network in the village of Beit Iskaria, south of Bethlehem.
Head of the Beit Iskaria Village Council Mohammad Ibrahim Atallah told WAFA that Israeli bulldozers began leveling privately owned farmland in the village as part of efforts to expand the Gush Etzion settlement bloc by relocating its main entrance gate, which is situated on land belonging to Palestinian residents.
Atallah said landowners confronted the bulldozers and prevented them from continuing the bulldozing operations.
He added that the operation resulted in the destruction of the village's drinking water network, disrupting water supplies to the community.
