NABLUS, August 4, 2026 (WAFA) – Terrorist Israeli colonists escalated their attacks on towns and villages south of Nablus before dawn Tuesday, setting fire to three vehicles, attacking Palestinian homes between the villages of Jalud and Talfit, and damaging part of the electricity network in the town of Madama.

Bashar al-Qaryouti, an activist monitoring Israeli colonial activities in southern Nablus, said a group of terrorist colonists attacked Palestinian homes in the area between Jalud and Talfit and set three vehicles ablaze, completely destroying them.

He added that the attackers also attempted to set fire to a building, but residents managed to thwart the attempt through their swift response.

In a separate attack early Tuesday, Israeli colonists vandalized the electricity network in Madama.

Head of the Madama Village Council Rami Nassar said colonists from a newly established colonial outpost located between the villages of Beita, Tal and Madama cut down electricity poles for the second time in a week, destroying part of the power network and causing outages in sections of the town.

Villages across southern Nablus, particularly Jalud, Qaryut, Talfit, Qusra and Madama, have witnessed a sharp escalation in attacks by Israeli colonists. These attacks have included arson, assaults on Palestinian residents, attacks on homes, and the destruction of infrastructure and agricultural land, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, as part of a policy aimed at pressuring Palestinians into forced displacement and seizing more land for colonial expansion.
