Israeli colonists assault Palestinians northeast of Ramallah

RAMALLAH, Monday, August 3, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Monday evening assaulted Palestinians between the al-Mughayyir and Abu Falah villages, northeast of Ramallah, according to security sources.

They reported that colonists, backed by the occupation forces, intercepted a Palestinian-licensed vehicle on the Marj Si' plain road and physically assaulted a couple traveling in the vehicle along with their children.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces detained two brothers from the village of Abu Falah while they were tending to their farmland in the Marj Si' plain.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
