Palestinian injured in colonist attack in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron

HEBRON, August 2, 2026 (WAFA) — A Palestinian was injured on Sunday with bruises and wounds after being attacked by Israeli colonists in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank.

Media activist Osama Makhamreh said that colonists stopped the vehicle of Adham Al-Wawi in the Wadi Ma'in area of Masafer Yatta and assaulted him, leaving him with injuries and bruises. He was transferred to a hospital for treatment, while the attackers also damaged his vehicle.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces began constructing and expanding a colonial road serving the outpost established on Palestinian land between Beit Ummar town and Al-Arroub refugee camp north of Hebron.

Israeli forces also confiscated a vehicle at the entrance to Idhna town, west of Hebron, and prevented residents from reaching the area.
