BETHLEHEM, August 2, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces on Sunday issued demolition notices for seven homes in the town of Nahalin, west of Bethlehem.
Nahalin Mayor Naeem Fanoun told WAFA that Israeli forces raided the town and verbally notified residents of the demolition orders targeting seven homes in the Baqoush area of the town.
The notices targeted the homes of Ahmad Mahmoud Abdel Hafiz Shakarneh, a two-story building with an area of 180 square meters; Mohammad Ismail Salman Fanoun, a two-story building covering 160 square meters; and Mohammad Hassan Abdel Hafiz Shakarneh, a four-story building with an area of 160 square meters.
The orders also included the homes of Mohammad Ibrahim Shakarneh, a two-story building; Mohammad Mahmoud Mustafa, a one-story building; Issa Mahmoud Issa Mustafa, a one-story building measuring 160 square meters; and Ahmad Khaled Mohammad Najajreh, with an area of 150 square meters.
Fanoun added that Israeli forces had issued demolition notices three days earlier for a commercial facility built on two dunums of land, as well as the two-story home of Mohammad Youssef Mahmoud Awad and the two-story home of Ahmad Mohammad Ishaq Najajreh, measuring 160 square meters.
