NEW YORK, August 1, 2026 (WAFA) — The United Nations on Saturday expressed concern over demolitions and explosions carried out by the Israeli occupation army in southern Lebanon.
In a statement, the UN said that the scale of the ongoing explosions and demolitions in southern Lebanon "is a matter of grave concern due to their devastating impact on civilian infrastructure, cultural heritage, and the collective memory of local communities."
It stressed the need to end this escalation in the pace of destruction, noting that diplomatic channels remain available to address any outstanding issues.
