Palestinian killed, ten injured in Israeli strike on central Gaza Strip

GAZA, July 31, 2026 (WAFA) – An Israeli strike on Friday night killed a Palestinian and injured ten others in the central Gaza Strip, according to WAFA correspondent.

He reported that an Israeli combat drone struck a motorbike in the Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City, claiming the life of a Palestinian.

He added that another strike hit a residential building to the east of the Nuseirat refugee camp, injuring ten Palestinians.

The victims were rushed to Al-Awda Medical Complex.

Israel has waged a military onslaught on the Strip since 7 October 2023, killing 73,341 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring 174,086 others. It has destroyed 90% of the Strip’s infrastructure, with the cost of Gaza reconstruction estimated at $70 billion.

Since the Gaza ceasefire agreement went into effect on October 11, 2025, Israel has killed at least 1,214 Palestinians and injured at least 3,977 others. The bodies of 804 slain Palestinians have been recovered during the same period.

The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
