TULKARM, July 30, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces on Thursday ordered the evacuation and demolition of a vehicle repair garage in the Shuweika suburb, north of Tulkarm, and issued an order requiring its immediate closure.
The garage belongs to Palestinian citizen Hatem Mahdawi, whose family said the military notice orders all work at the facility to stop immediately, bars access to the site, and states that it will be demolished on the grounds that it was built without a permit.
Following the delivery of the notice, local residents rushed to the area to assist the Mahdawi family in evacuating equipment and vehicles from the garage amid fears that Israeli forces could carry out the demolition.
The order comes amid an escalation in Israeli measures targeting Palestinian property in the Tulkarm governorate, where citizens have been living under a prolonged Israeli military offensive for more than 550 consecutive days.
