JENIN, July 30, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli forces on Thursday began establishing a new settlement outpost on land belonging to the village of Faqqu'a, northeast of Jenin, after carrying out land-leveling and clearing operations.
The head of the Faqqu'a village council, Barakat al-Amri, told WAFA that Israeli forces provided protection for machinery and workers who began leveling and preparing the site, following the construction of a military road connecting the area to the main road linking Faqqu'a and Arrabuna.
He said that the leveling work is taking place on land adjacent to the separation wall, noting that Israeli authorities had previously opened the access road based on military land seizure orders issued in 2008 before moving ahead with the establishment of the new settlement outpost.
Al-Amri added that no new seizure orders have yet been issued regarding the site, stressing that those present are workers operating under the protection of the occupation army.
He warned that establishing the colonial outpost would separate the village of Arabuna from Faqqu’a, and deprive hundreds of civilians of access to their agricultural lands located along the wall, where Israeli authorities already impose strict access restrictions.
