HEBRON, July 30, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli forces detained and abused on Thursday dozens of Palestinians during a military raid on the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron.
Activist Muhammad Awad told WAFA that large numbers of Israeli forces stormed Beit Ummar, deployed throughout the town, imposed a curfew, raided and searched numerous homes, deliberately destroying their contents and abusing the residents.
He added that Israeli troops detained dozens of Palestinians and subjected them to field interrogations in the town's stadium, which they had converted into a military post.
In a related incident, Israeli forces raided the Kanar neighborhood in the town of Dura, south of Hebron, storming and searching several homes and damaging their contents, with no detentions reported.
