HEBRON, July 29, 2026 (WAFA) – An Israeli occupation court on Wednesday rejected four petitions seeking to prevent the demolition of a school and three homes in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, according to a local activist.
Activist Osama Makhamreh told WAFA that the court rejected a petition filed against an Israeli military order to demolish Zif Secondary Girls School, north of Yatta. The school has been under threat of demolition since 2016 and consists of a number of caravans serving 251 female students.
The court also rejected three other petitions seeking to halt the demolition of three homes in Khirbet al-Mafqara, in Masafer Yatta, belonging to several Palestinian residents.
Makhamreh said the ruling gives Israeli occupation forces the green light to carry out the demolitions, which could take place at any time.
